In this mode, air is drawn in, filtered, and vented directly outside through ducting, removing all moisture and odors from the kitchen. This method requires an external vent and is ideal for eliminating cooking by-products entirely.
In recirculation, the air is drawn in, first passing through a grease filter, then a charcoal filter to remove moisture and odors, before being reintroduced into the kitchen. This method is useful for setups without external vents. To maintain a comfortable room climate (45–60% humidity), ensure adequate ventilation by opening windows or using domestic ventilation systems.
Circulation Mode expels air outside, while Recirculation Mode cleans and returns air into the kitchen.

The 90mm downdraf extractor unit arrived this week and was installed the following day.
I would recomend it as the quality it is very good with no problems with start up.the downdraft extraactor is quite powerful and removes steam very quickly.
